I don't think she can. Also in Degrassi she play I think a Eastern European character not Scandinavian Surname was Michalchuk

Anyway with her last name she is clearly part British or Irish, not entirely Jewish.

A lot of Jews coming to the US in the early 1900s changed their last names to make them more Anglo sounding, I don't know about in Canada.
