Makes sense. Some Mongoloids, mixed with Europeans can sometimes have a pseudo-Alpine (or East Baltid) look.

He doesn't look like a pure Alpine but he clearly does have Alpinid influence. He is clearly part Asian.

Other than the eyes he looks completely Caucasian. The guy in the thread looks clearly and blatantly part Asian to me. People seem to have trouble detecting Asian admixture.
