At first glance, the price of EUR 2 million for a Mediterranean island with private beaches, a forest and its own monastery, seems low. However, it has been on the market for three years and the owners did not find a buyer yet.
This island is Daksa in Croatia, where 48 people accused of cooperation with the Nazis were brutally murdered in 1944.
Legend says that their spirits are still on the island and demand justice. Until today, however, it has not been clarified why the residents of the island were killed. Current owners do not live on the island, and even in the peak of summer season few people go there.
The island of 485 acres is located in the vicinity of Dubrovnik and is completely uninhabited.
