As expected, this study clearly shows that it's by far the worst experience to be a woman in the Islamic countries of North Africa and the Middle East.

I can see why Ireland ranks quite highly. Irish women rule the roost and their opinion is very influential. Irishmen are very scared of their Mammy. You don't want to upset an Irish Mammy. If you don't believe me just have a look at Mrs Brown's Boys :p

Canada shouldn't be green, nor should the USA (which is worse). Scandinavia, I'd believe.

Apparently compared to the rest of Europe we take care of our women and raise them well, but they have less economical or political power. I'm totally fine with that.

It depends what are your criteria for best place, take a man from Dark Age and put him in present world with loans, Big Brother and Israel-Palestine conflict, he would ask to go back:p

Legally and institutionally, we definitely have alot of rights to work on..but it's not as bad as people portray it to be, to be a female living in the MENA region. I think this is an orientalist-influenced perception. Yes there are extreme countries such as Saudi Arabia, but MENA is a mosaic of societies, subcommunities and subcultures. It's impossible to generalize...

And these might be our western women if we don't act soon enough,

As for the best place, I'd bet it currently to be Scandinavia(a feminist heaven) and the other western countries, such as France, Great Britain and so on, adding Canada, Australia/NZ and the US to a certain extent.

Yes, like when in France after they banned burqa they found that actually less than 2000 Muslim women in France use it, and there are milions of Muslims in france.

Indeed, France seems to be great in that regard. Perhaps the ideal.

It differs per country, but almost equally importantly it differs per sociological group (by it ethnic, political, religious, class, etc...).

They didn't include my house (see: my bed) in this study, did they? :naughty2: I know the conclusion of this study would have been radically different if it had been included.
