Will Iceland Join The EU in 2009?
Filip van Laenen

European Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn (http://ec.europa.eu/commission_barroso/rehn/profile/index_en.htm) said (http://www.nrk.no/nyheter/utenriks/1.6348528) earlier (http://www.knack.be/nieuws/europa/ijsland-stelt-mogelijk-kandidatuur-eu-lidmaatschap/site72-section25-article26687.html) this (http://www.icelandreview.com/icelandreview/daily_news/?cat_id=40764&ew_0_a_id=316823) month (http://www.forbes.com/afxnewslimited/feeds/afx/2008/12/11/afx5808228.html) during a videoconference (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7778195.stm) with Reykjavik from Oslo that the European Commission is already mentally preparing for a membership application from Iceland, and that a rapid treatment of the application could not be excluded. He mentioned specifically that the island could become a member of the European Union (http://europa.eu/index_en.htm) already before the end of 2009, even before Croatia.

The EU will then be able to regulate Iceland's fishing waters. I think a great deal of people may be upset if many changes are made. Iceland doesn't need the EU. Their push towards more capitalism is what hurt the nation, and a membership with the EU won't solve their woes.

It was more a concentration of the economy so much on one industry (financial). They were quite rich off of it for a while, but what goes up must come down.

Iceland will join the EU eventually considering 70% of the population sees this horrible globalist entity as some "prince on a white horse" come to save them from all their problems.

The EU High Priestess in Iceland, Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir our minister of foreign affairs and current Chairman of the Social Democratic Alliance (Samfylkingin), the second largest political party in Althing (Iceland's parliament), preaches about the importance for Iceland to join the EU day and night, with her smug, pretentious emotional-twaddle. I will fight against it myself, and most people I know, but all odds are against us.. unless some big change will come along.

What is the process Iceland would have to go through to join the EU? Majority or supermajority of the legislature, or do they have to put it to the people to vote like Ireland?

Any news about the philosemitic president Grimsson?

He was to my knowledge first elected in 1996, reelected in 2000 and 2004, and sworn in for a 4th (!!) term on 1 August 2008... but he was hospitalized in Reykjavík after a heart attack in October...

The people will vote like in Ireland, so you see and hear EU propaganda by supporters everywhere, there are still heavy protests against it, but I'm afraid they are decreasing.

And who TF is this Vilhjalmur Vilhjalmsson, playing the chosenites games

The fake "president" and oligarch-puppet Ólafur Ragnar is alive and well along with his wife. Vilhjálmur Örn Vilhjálmsson is Icelandic/Jewish historian residing in Denmark, I'm not sure about his real heritage but he is a hardcore Jew/Zion propagandist, Holocaust thumper and a regular pain in the ass. He writes regular articles about anti-semitism in Iceland and glorifies "gods chosen people" whenever he gets the change.

you can find his blog/propaganda here: http://postdoc.blog.is/blog/postdoc/
