Anyways, the presence afro-dutch population(which by the way makes up more than 5% or so of the entire population) is linked to the colonial past of the Dutch Empire, who ruled the Caribbeans for hundreds of years and created colonies there, so these citizens travel to the Netherlands just like Indians or Pakistanis in the UK.

Most of the population is made of Dutch Caribbeans, but a small but growing rapidly number of them is due to late emigration from such countries as Somalia, Nigeria and Sub-Saharian Africa as a general.
