Consultation: CNC machinist in Zürich & surroundings (Aargau is OK, too)

Hi All.
I'm interested, if anyone is in course of blue-collar workforce market in Switzerland.
Is demand for factory workers high? Specifically, CNC operators/machinists, or higher echelon - CNC programmers.
And would companies employ somebody without Mechaniker training in Switzerland, but with work experience in profession (but old one, long time outside profession)? Consider somebody with Permit B, nearing C in a year or so.

P.S. Heard of RUAG factory in Zürich city proper, but considering the extremely sensitive industry they're in, curious - do they employ non-citizens?
