This shouldn’t even be a question, obviously it’s Europeans.
Look at where Middle Easterners plot on a PCA in relation to Europeans and South Asians, they’re closer to Europeans.
The only Middle Easterners close to South Asians are Afghans and some far eastern Iranians/Tajiks, which some may not even consider to be Middle Eastern.
Europeans. There are more Middle Eastern Pontids, Gracile Meds and Dinaro-Meds than Middle Eastern North Indids, Gracile Indids and Indo-Brachids.
It might be hard to find a purely Southern European looking person from Arabian Peninsula but the main type in Arabian Peninsula is Arabid, which is rather closer to Pontid and Gracile Med than it is to North Indid and Gracile Indid. There are also some traces of Arabid in some European countries such as Greece, Malta, Italy, Spain, Portugal.
Europeans. While there is some non-trivial overlap between us and MENAs, most South Asian groups tend to look distinctly South Asian and can't be confused for MENAs.
This is vague because South Asians could be anything from Pashtuns to Munda and Khasi people.
I'm actually shocked at the responses. People are undersrrimating the overlap between MENA and south Asians. I've seen so many videos of cultural events where both south Asians and MENA look closer to each other compared to a random European who looks out of place.
To even think Europeans pass better in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain compared to a Pakistani or Indian is beyond me .
