Diverse Y-DNA = less like a "people"?

If Y-DNA is primarily passed down by the father (for the vast majority of people on earth ofc), what's to say coupled with that is the culture and ideals of that specific haplogroup and social cohesion within politics, religion and culture can be determined by the haplogroups. For example Bantus would arguably be "more stable" at least within their own tribes until pitted against each other, they could easily assimilate onto different tribes if they wanted to, just fuck that sharquisha from over yonder. :thumb001:

Deep Y-DNA tests can reveal ancient migration paths that would otherwise be invisible.
Without knowing your specific subclade, we could not trace certain migrations using autosomal DNA alone.
For example, there are R1b-V88 individuals from Neolithic Europe who migrated to the Lake Chad region in the Sahel around 7,000 years ago, with a subsequent expansion there about 5,000–5,700 years ago (based on ancient DNA studies and Y-chromosome coalescence estimates linking it to Eurasian backflow during the African Humid Period).
Today, Chadic-speaking people carrying that subclade are not very different autosomally from their neighbors due to extensive mixing over millennia, despite the presence of those early Eurasian (potentially farmer-related) inputs around 7,000 years ago.
So, without Y-DNA evidence, we would not know about this specific paternal migration history. If we judged solely by autosomal DNA, we might assume they are just typical average Africans with no detectable trace of that ancient event.

The same principle applies to R1b-Z2705 (a branch under R1b-Z2103) in the Balkans. Despite being direct paternal descendants, of the core Yamnaya pastoralists, who carried related R1b-Z2103 lineages, the modern Balkan carriers, often have less Yamnaya-related autosomal ancestry than, for example, many Scandinavians or other Northern Europeans with steppe admixture. Yet the Y-DNA clearly shows that direct paternal origin from steppe groups.
