UPDATE: Interactive MDS analysis of the East Baltic
Component #1 seems to be largely a Finnic-like (Left) vs. Baltic-like (Right) component.
Component #2 is less obvious, or at least doesn't have a general rule like the first component.

The MDS seems a little unclear to me. I took the data from EU7c and applied it to a few individuals:

Let's say, RU35, RU38, RU43 and UARU1 are practically on the same spot in Gnuplot, but their admixture data are rather disparate (EU9b):
RU38 has a low East Euro score, UARU1 has a high one. RU38 has a major NW Euro score, UARU1 has a low one. RU35 has an above average Baltic score, RU43 a below average one.Code:RU35 RU38 RU43 UARU1

Looking forward for something more groundbreaking. Some results are a bit off too, low NA and high SSA
Well, that certainly is quite general. I would have preferred a North European and a West Mediterranean cluster as well. This way, everyone seems part-Northeast European, and it is largely impossible to tell apart between East Europeans.

I have a lower Volga score than Germans and Englishmen :)
After some of my experiments, I doubt there that is a general North African cluster. It seems this was a composite, and soaking up a lot of Sub-Saharan African.
So I tried to break it up. That left only 50-60% North African in the Mozabite Berbers, and higher Middle Eastern and Sub-Saharan scores in everyone who used to score North African.
This can be done with a lot of clusters that represent large regions, but are based on small groups of people from the same ethnic groups.
I think the ADMIXTURE run will be different for you. From memory it was. But I didn't save the results.
It looks like the DIY didn't get the same amount of detail because you matched other Russians so well.
