these samples don't have that much west asian.
maybe those late Roman samples with middle eastern admixture have more of it.

33-34% Baltic and 26-27% NA for Croats sounds realistic to me, why not. They are not Macedonians after all.

Bulgaria Iron age also had a 50/50 West med/East med ratio, like we do today:

What I find curious is that the Illyrian samples that were posted before had a ''North Italian'' genetic profile. With around 30-35% North Atlantic, ~ 20% West Med and 15% East Med. There was some with even 40% North Atlantic iirc, what is near the average for NE Iberians like Catalonians and Aragonese.

Do you have any links to scholars criticizing Florin Curta? His whole thesis is dumb but I have not been able to find much specifically rebuking him.
