But all 4gp are only Romanian, so this can't be a case of recent admixture. In situations like this, I think that we are looking at people whose cultural and ethnic identity got replaced. That's why I was wondering if there were some Slavic settlements in Vaslui.

Are they all from Vaslui the city or from villages ? Do they have non-peculiar last names? Maybe they moved around from N. Bukovina and are adamant that they have no Ukrainian admixture.

From Vaslui, the rest is not specified.

Maybe lost Lipovans, some of them, especially the urban ones lost their identities if there weren't enough of them around.

Or maybe he is a true Yamnaya descendant, who knows.
