Oh yeah, Dombra. I remember that guy. Posting about Iberians was his daily bread. He also looked like an overweight Kazakh with a hair dye.

Speaking of which, there's this Brazilian guy who's Y-DNA matches several to Saudis and Iraqis, and that his paternal ancestry came from Andalusia:

I mean, hell, even this Spaniard belong to the same Y-DNA branch as the Brazilian guy:

You have records going back to the 15th century I see, with people born even before the fall of Granada.
Have you checked and verified that none of your ancestors were Jews or Muslims? Because Jewish and Muslim names are easily distinguishable from Castilian names.
Theres a ruiz de cotes lineage that came went to colombia, their lineage is from cadiz. And one of them from tarrifa as well. In colombia they just go by cotes now. Ive wanted to have one test their y dna but the people ive contacted don't respond.
Wouldn't be too surprised. Moors did mix with iberians. I remember even listening that one of the iberians gave away their daughter in a arranged marriage to the moors there. Iberians did convert to islam. But more in particular the southern regions.
Its even speculated the queen of england is a decendant of the prophet Mohammed. Because there was a marriage between spanish and british nobility and the spanish is speculated to be decended from fatima.

Muslims converted to christianity and then married into the local iberian population. Although its not as high because the majority were removed. Enough stayed so that you still see 4 percent north african dna 500 years later.Quote:
She was born in Toledo at the end of the 10th century, the niece of the last Moorish king ofToledo,Al-Qadirand therefore of noble blood, in the last years before the conquest of the capital by the Christians. The continuous fights between Toledo nobles make Al-Qadir, who on several occasions has had the help of the Christian king of CastileAlfonso VI, send his niece into exile to protect her life.Aixa Galiana, had been promised at the time of her birth, as was the tradition among Muslims, to the future king of TalaveraJazmín Hiaya.Little Aixa Galiana was taken to the city ofÁvilawhere she was welcomed by the family of Raimundo de Borgoña and his wife Urraca, who gave her a remarkable education and ended up converting her to Christianity, being baptized in the city of Ávila.Medieval chronicles say that the princess Aixa Galiana was a young woman of great beauty and Castilian nobles, Moors and even other Hispanic kingdoms were interested in marrying her. However, it was with a young man from the city of Avila that she married for love.Nalvillos Blázquez, son of Ximén Blázquez, nobleman commissioned by the Castilian throne to repopulateÁvilaand the valleys under the Sierra de Gredos. The Blázquez family later gave rise to the Dávila family.
Even with new european migrations
It’s a fact that Spain is. It’s more genetically euro mainland than Georgia which is obvious given that Georgia is located in Eurasia.
You can't know anything about Spain or the Spaniards by saying such stupid things, the first ones who would know and have an oral tradition, family e.t.c. would be ourselves and it's not like that but quite the opposite and even if they would have stayed a hundred or two hundred thousand they wouldn't change the genetic pool of the Iberian Peninsula but they would be changed by the Iberian Peninsula, it's a matter of number.
You are simply making a strange publicity by trying to give a people an identity that they do not have and that can only arise from ignorance, from an agenda or from an assignment, that is, there is a purpose that is also carried out in a systematic and obsessive way and I doubt that it is so innocent because what foreigner would be so obsessed with creating an opinion about this hobby, retrograde and unrealistic idea of recreating or reviving Islam in modern Spain through four phantom arguments?
Do they pay well for it?
We are in the twenty-first century what do we Spaniards have to do with the Moors of the Muslim era for God speaks as if it had happened the day before yesterday.
The Reconquest is what has remained in our heads from that time, so those who pay him to find a better one because their arguments are quite pusillanimous and obviously do not know the Spanish and much less what we know and feel about ourselves, another who wants to confuse the Americans ...
And I'm not going to answer you anymore, I'm a Christian and I'm not interested in the Muslim era in the Iberian Peninsula. We have nothing to do with that world and as I said before the only part we consider as our history is La Reconquista
The Reconquest, period, we do not know nor do we know the Muslim characters, say, poets, scientists, e.t.c. We do not consider them our own, they belong to the Islamic world and with them they left Spain, our characters are the Christian characters who finally won the war.
You have understood this or I will explain it to you again.
My records without a hitch for that line go up to the early 1700s.
But from there i saw multiple trees with an ancestors parents names.
Usually if its just one persons name it could be anyone but if a couple or multiple people with the same name as your people on your tree it means its very highly likely the same person, especially if the information is that they are from the same area or country.
And i reached to people and one person told me the names of the parents and that alot of the information was correct. That it was based on research from a phd geneologists researcher. They have seen it online before as well before but they don't have the records on them. And i saw another trees with the records but I cant view the records because geneologists set the photos to private. I might reach out to them to see if they will share.
I dont have that much doubt about it though.
But i still want to get my grubby hands on them.
All the records i have dont say anything about that. But it likely wouldnt say anything about that after moving to new world.
