By definition:
Any Khas Brahmin/Kshatriya who takes renunciation from Grihasta/household life but later produces progenies, their kids would lose the father's original clan/caste and became Sanyasis or Jogis. Their Sanyasa phase title was converted into clan name: Giri, Puri, Bharati, Saraswati, Ban, Aranya, Yogi/Jogi. But there are also some Sanyasi/ Jogi with original clan title like the Jogi Kunwar clan who descended from Chhetri Kunwar clan.
Traditional hierarchy: lower than Khas Chhetris, higher than Khas Dalits.
Varna hierarchy: Avarna (out of four fold varna system)
@NPKTO and @Godardt, I thought Sanyasis would score like Brahmins/Bahuns but this kit looks more like Chhetri convert. But it is also certain that they're mix of Bahuns and Chhetris- they dont have separate origins.
