Voronezh and Kursk 0% contact with Ukrainians. These are the most purebred Russians. Belgorod has contacts. Don't give importance to phenotypes. This southern ugliness was given to Ukrainians by the Transcarpathian mixture. The ancient Ukrainian (southwestern Russian from Kiev) was similar to the Russian - light and graceful. Then the occupation of Russian lands by Ukrainians...phenotypes began to change, but not yet much on the Russian lands of Kyiv, Volyn, Dnieper, Chernigov. These Ukrainians are still very similar to the Russians.

In fact, Russian-Ukrainian contacts are a natural thing. Ukrainians descended from southern Russians. The Kyiv Russians and Suzdal Russians spoke the same language until the Kyiv Russians were covered by the Transcarpathian hordes. Our ancestors were assimilated by black, incomprehensible hominids. our bright blue-eyed faces began to turn black. This thousand-year-old tragedy is being resolved today.
