Aksaray were in last centuries famous for turkmen camel dealer. Central anatolia(Ankara, Cankiri, Kirsehir, Kirikkale, YozgatKonya, Aksaray, Nevsehir, Corum) are predominantly turkish, with some kurdish villages mostly founded in the end of 19th century after last turkish riots and at the beginning of 20th century after first kurdish riots of the republican era. Yozgat and Corum have many alevis, rest predominantly sunni with alevi minorities. Northern Centralanatolia has Circissian settlements, eastern had some armenian until 20th century, southern parts(Nevsehir/Nigde/Kayseri) also had greek orthodox population(Greek and Karamanli). Kirikkale, Kirsehir, Yozgat was known as Bozok livasi, Ankara has many famius turkmen tribes, the konya/ankara kurd which got tested had the most north european admix i ve ever seen at kurds btw, they were settled there after massacring ten thousands of Alevi turkmens in 15/16th century.
