Also Lebanese with different dialects can oftentimes not understand each other.
Sicilians or Venitians speak/write using Latin alphabet while Moroccans, Egyptians, Syrians, Iraqis etc... cannot write the language they speak.

yeah I've noticed a lot of Arabic and Syriac is similar. It doesn't mean that most of Lebanese isn't from classical Arabic though. These similarities are in most cases due to them being cognates. It makes as much sense as saying English comes from German because they have similar words.
Assyria included territories of both modern day Lebanon and Syria btw.
