This is interesting because it picks up on something i had thought some time earlier...The nature of my Dad apparently having the Middle-eastern genes in my family, but below average East Med/Near Eastern led me initially to believe there might be some distant North African ancestry somewhere on his side, which seems possible. It could just be that he takes after the side of the family that doesn't have this ancestry (his mother), as he definitely does take after her both physically and mentally. But i think it couldn't be more than 6%. Only sure way to know is to test his parents and his sister, but it throws an interesting perspective anyway. His 'base' comes out even more Anglian in this as well, which is interesting too although less important.

This is spot on compared with her others (even as a phased profile), and picks up clearly on the Georgian. Her high South Baltic is again quite interesting. I'm thinking there is two possibilities for this:
1) She has a very southern British base (closeness to Dutch, Germans, Cornish, Austrians but not to Scottish, Danish, Norwegians or Swedes) plus maybe 6-12% Georgian/Caucasian ancestry.
2) She has a central 'average' or central-western British base with a bit of German, French(?) (or Austrian(?) (relative finder)) ancestry as well as 6% or so Georgian ancestry.
A southern British base with a pull to the west (Wales, Scotland) would make sense genaeologically.
In any case my family don't seem to be average joes, and i think i'll have to start investigating this even more soon. :)
Hats off to Polako/David for making an extremely useful tool.
