it literally gave me a scale of 48 to fucking 72% for british, idk what went wrong there with their analysis but i must've had alot of food in my saliva when i send it to them because thats not me xD
3-6% middle eastern and 2-4% central asian (afghan) they gave to me. My dad's family is mainly German, scottish, british/irish, minor french, probably also some MENA and some scandinavian in there aswell. And they only give me 1-9% europe west, weird company. i hope their new update actually gets my arab percentage straight
Nice results, congrats! it is interesting to see such a blend of Western Europe.
here is mine:

the rest was 6% scandinavian, 5% Italian, 2% European Jewish
Really? What makes you think that we could be related?
Ancestry is really cool. Ancestry's specific regions and migrations were super consistent with my family tree. The main percentages were a little off in my opinion but their could be numerous reasons for that. MyHeritage gave me results that are much more consistent with my family tree: 75% North and West Europe, 18% Great Britain, 5% Italian, 2 European Jewish.
Ancestry is good at the specific regions and groups, it's just hard to decipher Western German DNA from British DNA, especially when someone is a mix of those two regions.
Ancestry is also a great place to find cousins, and to build and share family trees. You can also share photos and documents of ancestors.
