That's good! The 23andme update was good for my dad and ok for my grandma and sister, but not too good for me and my mom. Massive inconsistencies between family members though and in parental inheritance, very bummed since the phasing used to work very well pre-update and our results aligned much better before now the parental inheritance and ancestry timeline are almost just a fantasy and shockingly incorrect for a 23andme feature. I've found bugs in the ancestry features as well, they need to fix them ASAP. The results do improve for me quite a bit when I change the confidence from "most likely" to 50% confidence though. I hate the "most likely" confidence trash they use now, it seems too experimental IMO. New interface is bad too imo.Quote:

Yeah I think Ancestry went way overboard with trying to distinguish regions! And I feel like they were not honest about certain aspects of the update. I wish they also worked on improving their ancestry features too honestly. Also I do not like how they grouped some of the European regions. It seems their samples are not too good either.
I'm beginning to worry about the future of DNA tests a bit.
