Yes, but how long was this in terms of your Dutch ancestors coming over here, because I am pretty sure most came straight from the coastal areas of the Netherlands.

Afrikaners and Boers do indeed show minor admix. Usually in the 1% to 2% SSA but often that of a South African nature not West African. This was due to the foundation of the colony in South Africa.One Afrikaner's result show this as well. Having a cousin that seems to have European Y-lineage and South African mtDNA lineage probably make this admix to be real you can be connected to him both through African segments or European segments as well. I think anything from one 1% and above is often real. Especially since the results seem to historically makes sense.
