Hmm that's interesting. I find the K12b to be fairly accurate, but the EUtest to be the most accurate (It is consistent across multiple profiles too). It's kind of odd how it's accurate for some and inaccurate for others. Surely if it was like this is would put the results of at least on of the people into question? I'm impressed by the Jtest though (and EUtest) seen multiple people get pretty much exactly correct results.

I think the higher resolution ones might be more accurate for my family because they split northern Europe up a bit. So instead of going in one line (basically north-south) as is the case in K7b and World9 it actually gives another dimension within northern Europe. That is useful because it means that if i have less 'Atlantic Baltic' (which i do) then i don't end up as British Isles + southern European/Near eastern, but i end up with a much more precise location for that extra ancestry.
So instead of having a general 'southern pull', i can actually see roughly where that pull should come from, so it's a lot less vague. That east-west split in northern Europe is also useful because it kind of stops northern Europe being so linear (especially when Caucasus and Gedrosia are combined) and allows it to sort of spread out sideways.
But anyway i'm off to bed. I think in my order of most to least consistent/accurate/reliable (top 5) it is, because splitting Europe east/west adds that finer detail, even though it is explaining a bit less variation than just a north-south split (the genetic divide is apparently larger between northern and southern Europe than between Eastern and western?):

Actually i tried this, more to see how close the Phased Data files are to the actual people, using the 4 ancestors oracle. On the maternal phased data file it seemed to be very similar so i just put it practically overlapping. I'll try it with the normal oracle again shortly, never compared the phased and normal ones with ordinary oracle. My maternal phased data file is closest to the mark, but only by a small amount. Will try it with some different calculators too.
Likely the normal oracle will be much more accurate, but it will be interesting to see whether the phased data files differ significantly more on the finer detail.
Brown circles are ordinary files, black circles are phased. Paternal phased data file is the one to the north, maternal is the one to the south. The lone brown dot is me (i can't have a phased data file for myself).
