There are plenty of non-Germanic I1 people who are not descended from slave masters, too, btw, but I'm not sure why that matters. You think being I1 is important, so you should be indiscriminate in how it got to where it is. People with R1b who are European have to 'deal' with the several tribes of Cameroon who are all R1b.
