The only "Tajiks" lacking recent mongolid admixture are either Pamiri or Afghan Tajiks which are both not Tajiks in the strict sense. Pamiri orginally spoke East Iranic languages closer related to Pashto and Ossetian than to Persian or Kurdish and Afghan Tajiks are often just recently persianized Pashtuns especially the ones Living in eastern AfghanistanQuote:
