What was the other 1%? That's weird - he didn't even get "Central and Eastern Europe" ? Have you uploaded him to any other sites? Did FTDNA give him an ancestry breakdown as well?

The other 1% was Iran. Nope, nada! I tried dna.land and homedna gps origins, still waiting on FTDNA results. Hopefully Ancestry puts him in a genetic community at some point :confused:

Haven't seen Iran before. Good job wasting money on GPS origins - results are more or less random for many, especially if your ancestors didn't all live in one place in ancient times. Mind sharing what he got on DNA.LAND?

Yeah lol, figured that out about gps origins pretty quick. According to them, one line started in Spain and the other near Syria. His dna.land results:

Ashkenazi 89%
Northwest European 8.2%
Sardinian 1.5%
South/Central European 1.2%

My results showed 10% Mediterranean Islander under Ashkenazi - might have been from some admix on my mom's side?

It could also be reading your Jewish ancestry as Mediterranean Islander. I got a bunch of it on DNALAND. The lines he got on GPS origins aren't so bad - but the autosomal breakdown they give is retarded.
