Taking another DNA test from a different company

I just can’t justify re-buying a 23andMe kit to get the latest updates. The security concerns don’t help even if there’s some thinly veiled new measure.

It seems that 23andMe and FTDNA have similar SNP coverage.
But you can merge 2 files into one Superkit which will have more.

I did 23andMe last year and just sent off my ancestry dna test a few days ago, mainly to get a file with better SNP coverage. I’ve heard 23andMe is better for ethnicity estimates certainly after the most recent update but they test less SNPs.
