It would be pretty interesting to compare real French results vs euro mutts who plot close to French. I suspect, in some weird instances, a euro mutt might plot closer to French populations than a native French person.

West Med is very SW European. Its neolithic farmer/EEF like (Barcin_N-WHG). Peaks in Atlanto-Med pop. Its the unusually high E. Med in some samples that's bizzare.

Maybe Imperial romans, Aostans are mostly French like however (and a good portion of them are Central French like), 30/35% are more on line with N.Italy averages though.

Overall they don't look like Iberians or N.Italians genetically, they are a separate population.

Person from Nord-Pas-de-Calais who is also part Polish, and some of his Polish is from the same town in which my father was born:
