It's obvious the elevated Red Sea and the minor SSA in these townspeople comes from mixing with Arabs of the area. Which didn't happen in the villages.

It depends on the region in Republic. Northwest (Aghstafa/Gazakh) for example has very high Turkic input.

I still would say Turkic input in Rep and Iranian Azerbaijanis is about the same. Also intermarriages with other people is very common in both regions. Due to turkification of other tribes in Republic and in case of Iran due to being a minority in Iran.

I was able to find information on a migration wave from Sultaniye to Bulgaria(Kardzhali) in either 18 or 19th century. Are there any sources about it on the Azerbaijani side? It seems like migration happened because of an epidemic.
