It's rather obvious now that Spaniard and Portuguese are very similar overall genetically. The differences must be very subtle. Nothing to be upset about Islander.

Hmmm that is rather far from Portugal but it probably just relates to the fact like I mentioned above that all Iberians are very similar to each other genetically.

The best Oracle I've seen is EUTest V2, and even it did something like 99% English.

I'm not quite sure how Oracle works, but to me, it seems like a useful feature would be if you could manually set which groups are used in the calculations, so that it gives more reasonable results, instead of trying to fit someone who is pred. NW Euro with Bulgarians and Serbians.

Just imagine a line drawn between the two results, so draw a line from Orkney to Galicia for example and make a mark 17% or so of the way along, and it'll give you some idea. Or between southwest England and Austria.

In that case, the results make a bit more sense.

Drawing a line between Orkney and Galicia, and marking 17% puts me right in the middle of Scotland.
Most of the Orcadian + something else results also put me in Scotland or Northern England.

The other results place me somewhere around Northern France, near Normandy.

Spanish_Murcia averages in K13 are 40.15 9.33 26.12 2.21 14.57 2.92 0.21 0.88 0.67 0.60 0.11 1.44 0.78
Portuguese averages are 38.54 11.51 25.32 2.43 13.90 3.63 0.42 0.14 0.25 0.44 0.67 1.72 1.04

The total combined difference is something like 8,76.

For Southeast English vs Southwest English it's 8,53 and Finnish vs East Finnish it's 10,97, so differences between Iberians are in line with those between different parts of a single country. Spanish Basques might stand out if they are similar to the French ones.

You say about 75% English/Irish and 25% German.

The oracle gets the English component right, but happens to make your second component lower, but adjusts by putting it further to the south/east.

I don't think 83.8% Southwest_English + 16.2% Austrian, are too different in terms of admixture result of 75% English + 25% German
