Who care their languages? Yes, the Iberian language was the relative of the Aquitanian language presumably and their cultures were nearly relatives before the Indo-European migration. And? This does not modify the millennial oriental orientation of the Iberian peninsula.
The survivors escaped towards west, to the less Romanised lands after the Germanic invasion. And not all of the Britons were fully Romanised, for example the Bretons are Celtic speakers and they come from Britain! The Roman population's majority was destroyed in eastern Britain and a survivor minority assimilated into the Briton Celtics and Germanics.
Great work ,but you should add Atheism for the 2000AD map, there are quite a few countries with 50%+ Atheists. The absence of religion should be still considered in a religious map.
These countries would be:
Sweden
Denmark
Norway
Czech Republic
East Germany
(Finland)
(Estonia)
Very good job. I liked the fact that there is ideed an overlap between our maps.
And the Minoan colonist, and the neolithic colonists. This contact was strong continuously, for example the ancestors of the Iberian peoples were Eastern Mediterranean colonists presumably.
"The Millares Horizon has attracted international interest, as a reference point for the beginning of unequal societies. The singularity of the Millares site, where a large village with stone walls co-exists with a necropolis of tholoi and more than ten small forts, led to consider it as a central place, first as a colonial foundation (metallurgic prospectors from Eastern Mediterranean) and then as the centre of a hierarchical society."

These folks and economies was the eastern world's parts from the very beginning until today. Spain is only a transitional zone into the Arab world today too.
The atheists are childish deniers, the parts of the denied cult, the atheists are there everywhere where the postmodern Christianity. They do not have significance in the development of the religions. I did not depict the Roman atheism neither. The atheism and the religious syncretism ("roman paganism" from the oriental cults to the imperial cult) were the consequences of the decadence and religious disintegration only. There is not place for them on a religious map, since their existing is meaningless without the denied religion.
interesting thread. Thanks
