it doesn't matter how wide the Paleo-Balkan cluster gets. After the impact of the Roman Empire, there were no pure paleo-Balkanians anymore.
for example, here is the demographic history of just one of the Roman Provinces. (i don't mean the haplogroups, scroll down.)

paleo-Balkan is used very liberally here (and everywhere), it can range right up to the Slavic migrations. If it's used this way then paleo-Balkan includes the Roman influence.

ok, then we agree. the paleo-Balkan samples i used on this pca are what i believe to be the typical pre-Roman Balkan samples.

after removing 6 outliers from the 530 Romanians and Moldovans:

I tried to divide Romania into 3 traditional regions, but they occupy the same range on the plot. that's why i used just one big "Romanian/Moldovan" cluster.

You could try and split Romania and Republic of Moldova in their own clusters, but I think they will be similar, because of the Stefan Voda outliers on one end and Suceava on the other.
