"Paternal and maternal lineages in the Balkans show a homogeneous landscape over linguistic barriers, except for the isolated Aromuns". Annals of Human Genetics, the i2a1 in southern Albania is due to the Vlachs, some groups have over 40% of it. But I still find it strange as to why they have such high levels of it, regarding their proximity to Croatia and Bosnia.
