Usually i'm on the eastern part of the Iberian cluster, closer to italians. In your map it's the opposite. Must be because there are no Basques there, since it's probably they who push everyone else west due to my low Basque score.

Ahh thank you sir, you've made me happier. :D
Yeah its a good sign that both are reliable.
I think my position if different on each one because of my random admixture, at least its cool to see where i would be without it on your map. I also noticed they are oriented a bit differently, and also the Finns are really important, without them the map would be much less accurate. I find that removing the Finns can cause it to sort of fall apart. :D
Iberians seem quite alone and isolated over there on these PCA plots. It's no surprise the Italians and Balkanians cluster near one another though.
It's correct, and in line with other plots:

Aye, I have Heraus as S.W France. He's Half Basque I think? It's quite cool how, things change as you add more. I like my map. Perhaps I'll go though and add the Asian clusters. Which should take about a Year. Haha..

Pallantides is so pissed off because I'm more Norwegian than him! muahahahaha! (joking)
Include the African and you'll find me in the Congo.
Yeah your ancestry from both North West & South East pulls you in. You sit closest to the Balkans.
Think i prefer yours to mine, a lot cleaner. It's K36 right?
Interesting how north France moved away again.
And also how the Danish sit (or probably sit) in the north-central cluster rather than with Norwegians/Swedish (although this is also visible on other PCAs). Do you mind adding in my grandfather and mother (if just for one run, to save it getting too cluttered)? I'm interested to see where they end up on this K36. I suspect my mother would be close to northern France:

I say Celtic because he seems to be Atlantic dominated and also pulls towards the south-west. Although his East_Euro and South Baltic scores are more typical of the Irish, so i'd guess overall hed be most similar to the Cornish and Irish.
Update. I'll add family & New Worlders later.. :) It's getting there. Want to get the shape correct. If I can crack it, could push further.

Interesting how one of the Irish is so far east, have seen that with a couple of them in previous plots i think?
Very good PCAs.
I'm changing the clusters also..Had to take out some outliers, which I'll add again, some time.
So far it looks ok, needs adjustments. Better than the maps, McDonald fella makes..
Right I'll add in the New Worlders again. Tonight. :)

Orangepulp where is your Uncle from? :)
Can you add this Chuvash guy for the next run Graham? :) He got very interesting results imo.

I did have some Volga & Chuvash they were East of Finland & were outliers at the time. But I've made some adjustments, so it should be fine.
Thanks a lot.
He is American of British and Irish ancestry, he may have other Euro input I'm not sure.
This is what he got from Mcdonald:
Most likely fit is 100% English (Western Europe)
which is 100% total Europe
The location error = 0.005115 with 1 group
The following are possible populations,
most likely at the top:
The following are possible population sets and their fractions,
most likely at the top
English= 1.000
but there is some Continental European or perhaps a very tiny bit
of Mideastern ... and a clear 0.4% African.

This is what his father got:

which is 100% total Europe
The location error = 0.002573 with 1 group
The following are possible populations,
most likely at the top:
The following are possible population sets and their fractions,

and that’s about it, well maybe just a little Continental, maybe,
and yes, clearly 0.4% African.

Have you tested the whole Orangpulp clan? :P
Need to see If I can change the colours, like on that map. Mine is more Scandinavian friendly than McDonald's.
Currently I have it in 6 segments
North West Central Europe
N Atlantic, N Sea, France & Central Europe
South West Europe
Italy, Spain & Basque
West Med
West Med & N Africa, currently using all of Africa.
N Eurasia
Fennoscandia, E.C.Europe, E.Europe, Volga, Siberia & the Far Eastern nations.
Caucasus
Armenia, N Caucasus, W Caucasus
S Eurasia
East Balkan, East Med, Arab, Near East & South Asian Nations
Your Mum scores higher in S Eurasian, pulling her down.
Last map for tonight. Added some more..

Oh no!! Poor Otto! :puppy_dp:
The German, is that today's united Germany, West Germany, East Germany?? Which part of Germany?
I hope Gedmatch will be up soon! I have to test my distant Uyghur relative with K36 :D
