Es que se supone que cuando se habla de componente español, viene incluido todo, incluso el norafricano que nosotros entendemos por iberomaurusian. Ese es el problema de las compañias geneticas comunes, que sus descripciones son exotismo puro cuando no se trata de describir una poblacion del Noroeste/Oeste de Europa, los de LivingDNA son iguales, ni hablar de MyHeritage y FTDNA. Por eso, siempre ha sido mejor las herramientas por academicos que hay por fuera de estas empresas y que leen los SNPs como son. But I was surprised to discover my ydna haplogroup was I1, specifically I-L1237 according to FTDNA. Does this point to any specific region of Spain? Or the visigothic invasion? Or Dutch settlement in Canarias?
From my (limited) research it looks like I1 is fairly uncommon in Spain. It seems to be more common on Puerto Rico (around 5% according to the study I saw), so maybe there was some sort of founder effect?
