And stop calling these Croats Bunjevci, because Bunjevci in Croatia don't exist. It's just a regional term.
My dad grew up in Karlovac, they have central Croatian identity and always felt kinship with Bjelovar which is similar city and similar mentality.
So these 2 are def. central Croatia. Zagreb and it's satelites are also, as well as Sisak.
Zagorje is not considered Central Croatia, neither is Varaždin.
Central. But this is tricky because there is no official division as both were part of ''Civil Croatia'' or ''Croatia-Slavonia'' during Austro-Hungary and are part of Croatia proper. My city is too for example and we are west Croatia. People north from Zagreb are different to Zagreb. For example town of Samobor is NW Croatia as is entire Zagorje with Varaždin, Međimurje and Podravina.
Bjelovar is quite close to Hungary but they are considered central Croatia regardless.
