I'm wondering if there's any explanation for the higher NA in Oltenia.
Bucuresti and Constanta are almost identical. Both are very Southern.
No idea, David Reich's academic samples from Gorj also had higher NA. I mean there are counties from where Romanians who are not recently mixed have more NA than Baltic. It's most obvious obvious in Arad, Bistrita, Mures, Alba, Brasov, Satu Mare. But it is also not unheard of in Oltenia.Quote:

Very interesting either way.
Some interesting Aromanian/Vlach results from Romania that were given to me. The interesting thing for all of them is that they have visible Greek matches in top populations on GEDmatch.
