Nice try, Iberian ancient civilization?:picard1:
This list confuse me a little, since Greece, Rome and the Celtic world was same civilization. Rome and Greece was the perifphery with lot of cultural contact to the Oriental and the Egyptian world and the Celtic Europe was the core, the original spirit of theis world (the Greek dark age for example more European than the Oriental influenced classic age, as the early medieval Lombard Italy was more European, than the 13-14th century Italian polis states!). Or which Mesopotamian? The early Mesopotamian civilization (Ubaid 6600-4600BC), or the Sumerian civilization (4600-2500BC), or he classic Mesopotamia, the Babilonian civilization? Or the last great Oriental civilization the Perso-Arab world from Darius to the Byzantine fall? And this was the same situation in China, since uniform Chinese civilization also never existed, only very different Chinese civilizations:
1st civilization: 3700-1700BC - late Yangshao-Longshang-Xia
2nd civilization: 1700BC-200AD - Shang-Han
3rd civilization: since 200AD - Three Kingdoms-present
I prefer the second Chinese civilization and one of the old Eurasian civilizations, the steppic Aryan (3300-1300BC) for example.
ps. Iberia was the border between the Saharan African, the Oriental world and Europe everytimes.
In before Turks.

Rome first,Greece second.
I want to be a Centurion first, and Spartan second. Both are equally cool and badass, but the roman armor looks very cool.

I'm glad you posted the maille armour, for the majority of the roman empire this is what the soldier wore. Even though they are more often depicted wearing the Lorica segmentata in films and such, it wasn't utilized for a large period of time. Although I think it looks really awesome.

When does Hollywood get anything right anyway.
Ancient Egypt.
Greece for me. Herodotus, Aristotle, Socrates, Alexander the Great.. Western philosophy and science was very much founded with the Greeks.
And I say that as a non-Greek. Love the people, culture and history.
The most common mistake movies make is giving Roman army a post-Marian reform look in pre-Marian reform times.
Before those reforms Roman army looked like this

The shiny helmets, shouldered armor and more rectangular shields came with Marius's reforms.
Hollywood had made the Greeks and Romans living Demi gods . Yeah they were great but come on. Why aren't their fimd depicting the mighty Persian empire, ottomans or Arabs? Simple. West vs East and we can clearly see that in 300 LOL( love the film but it's obviously bollocks).

Greek and I'm not saying this (only) because I'm biased.
Greek civilization it was a collection of things that made it great. From architecture to science, to arts, to society structure, military, everything.
I have a soft spot for the Chinese ancient civilization. It's one of my dreams to visit China as well.
Rome and Greece too obviously, concerning Europe.
I agree in general. The problem is we need writings to go off of. So we get the bible and the ancient greeks and romans.
I find it funny that most people don't realize that greeks and romans are actually johnny come lately. There's been civilizations all over europe and middle east for 6k years before athens and rome were founded.
Also, people really want to live in slave societies like rome and egypt and greece? lol
Yes, it looked like Lord of the Rings because "300'' was based on the comic of Frank Miller, not on historical findings, references or accuracies.
This poll has a big problem: Mesopotamia. It had several different periods. You can't put all of them into one "Mesopotamian" category, because except their similarities, they were different. For example, (Neo)-Assyrian Empire =/= Achaemenid Empire.
China or Mesopotamia.
Neither really. I wouldnt want to live in any of them, not attracted to that period of time :)

Greece of course :)

Hellenic civilization, the most superior civilization worldwide.
I'm studying my civilization the last 20 years, focusing in Anthropology, Genetics, Archaeology, History, Mythology, Literature, Philosophy, Military stuff etc. Guys, it's endless, I have almost learn nothing, as Socrates used to say "One thing I know... I know nothing". I need ten lives to learn everything. And imagine, only the 4-5% of what ancient Greeks wrote has survived, around 2,000-3,000 books. Ancient Greeks were first and unsurpassed in all fields of science, the world moves by them.
Egyptian and Greek. They just seem interesting.
akkadian empire

I would say "Celtic" has been the most interesting for me. Especially their herbal medicines that was interesting nonetheless besides some setbacks.Especially the spirituality where everyone play an equal role nonetheless. Which you could say was prevalent in some civilizations to an extent.
Byzantium (can it pass as post-rome?), cause it was at the beggings of eastern slavic part of civilication ant it got many good things to us.
