Does anyone know if GEDMatch is also going to merge Genesis's calculators, or is it just the matching algorithm? Because like I said, if they're actually going to merge these calculators then I expect I, and possibly several other people, will find these calculators to be completely inaccurate from now on.
How the fuck can it be different if you upload the same raw data?

Genesis is better than Gedmatch. At least I plot with Romanians, Macedonians and Bulgarians instead of Greeks for some calculators. However, I have still some weird plots such as Swiss or Italian as well.
the new 23andme chip is only compatible with genesis. I ordered 23andme recently. Currently, gedmatch is more accurate than genesis, at least this the impression i got from visiting various blogs and forums.
Given your background I think you should've ordered FamilyFinder or MyHeritage instead.Quote:

Well, it's more suited for Northern and Southern Europeans or maybe for Europeans in general. For example the Pashtun member Mingle is like 7/8 South Asian and 1/8 Middle Eastern on 23andme which doesn't say much about his ancestry. Almost 7% was left unassigned while Europeans and East Asians usually get less than 1% unassigned, sometimes even zero.
Also, FF and MH provide the best raw data judging by the amount of SNPs.
Does this effect only oracles or also the admixture chart? Because on Genesis I get unusually high levels of Atlantic and East Europe and unusually low levels of west med, which obviously skews the oracles.Quote:
