I like mine with a little more industrial sound.

Not exactly music, but music adjacent. A performance artist that came out of the same punk burnout industrial weirdness that I find fascinating.
Mark Pauline is a guy who didn't quite get over playing with toy cars.https://youtu.be/1Cp7aD0q63g

One of my favorite albums of all time, "Alone in the Dark Wood" by Fursaxa. NOTHING else is so precicely up my alley of "Slavic paganism meets Appalachian folk"
Tooo bright, no "dark romantism" detected)))

From my "future aerial hoop routines" playlist ;)
I'am more into blending elements of electro-industrial/industrial metal/electronic darkwave/electro-pop/electro body music with pulsating electro beats mixed with ultra melodic synth lines fullfilled of harmonics with elements of synth/electro-rock more recently than the pure combo bass/drums/guitars/sing depressing darkwave
in my recent discoveries ,i start to have interest for the russian/belarussian scene and the other ex USSR countries and if you dig a bit you find some projects like ELEZORIA for example
i very like the first album of ACRETONGUE : STRANGE CARGO ,a south african guy named NICO ,very talentend into dark electro
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PK0udebBUI
or the belarussian band from Minsk named COLD IN MAY and their blending elements of melodic darkwave synth with kicking pulsating beats with metal and melancholic pop,it's so fucking good you have no idea
the main problem it's than all the live takes sources than could you find ,the sound sucks to the max
mini live of 30 minutes with a better sound below

if you know pete burns who died some years ago and his horrible commercial electro-disco for the masses with DEAD OR ALIVE,did you know it's wans't always the case and than his first bands The mystery girls and Nightmars in Wax followed by the early DEAD OR ALIVE was sounding more like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwKFent4HLo
the early DEAD OR ALIVE is even sounding more glam/post punk/prog rock than really new wave

i don't know if you know the scottish THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jesus_and_Mary_Chain ,less darkwave more a noisy rock band with a dose dark atmosphere, even maybe they are not the popes of noisy rock figure of speech, with a dose dark atmosphere ,more coming for the shoegazing scene, i had listen them a lot in my late teens years a lot especially the albums :
- 1985 : Psychocandy (Blanco y Negro)
- 1987 : Darklands (Blanco Y Negro)
- 1989 : Automatic (Blanco y Negro)

Released in 1993. IMHO their best song, incredibly passionate and that riff in the middle is glorious. And I've been o their concerts and people asked for an encore with it.

One of my favourite bands, they're from Belarus and actually sing in Belarusian instead of Russian:
https://youtu.be/oTq8IPAdpWY
And here's an Estonian cover of the same song by another one of my favourite bands:
