I only really know her from the tv series Dexter, she was a psycho in that show but she was really interesting and just a really good actress. I think she would have brought more life to Arwen.

Just got to the extended scene with faramir and boromir, i thought it was a nice touch, kind of long considering all the other stuff they could have shot or added; but not bad.
I actually love Viggo as Aragorn. In fact, he's one of my favorite actors and several of his movies are among my favorites.
100%. You can see why they cut some of the scenes in the other two movies as a few of them had really bad cgi. The Fellowship is otherwise my favorite of the three even with the original cut and the book.
I prefer the books. The movies felt too rushed and childish for me, Peter Jackson clearly had young people in mind when making them.
The first movie actually feels kind of like you imagine the story in the book. The only thing is I think the escape from Hobbiton was even a bit more darker and scarier in the book. But the scene where they hide from the Nazgul was also cool in the movie. But in the book it felt more realistic.
The very case when it makes no sense to review / re-read the trilogy-the heroes of childhood and youth, their logic and motives for their actions should be remembered as in the past, without trying to analyze them from the perspective of the current age.
The Hobbit trilogy disappointed me in general. The Lord of the Rings I will show my son when he grows up a little, clearly, so that he knows what was popular in the early 2000s.
Regarding the casting, I would like Galadriel to be played by Pamela Anderson, it is immediately clear that she is from the house of Finarfin and has a thousand years of wisdom;).
