The Tale of Tales, 1979, by Yuri Norstein is with his other short film The Hedgehog in the Fog one of my daughter’s favourite.
The Tale of Tales is a movie full of melancholy, quite harsh, as it is about war and the trauma it leaves on our consciousness, on our memory. My daughter particularly loves to see, in the film, the wolf taking care of the baby.
