My grandmother maiden surname shared only with her brother due to an error in the record, but I know many people with surnames which numbers are less than 50-100 for a whole country according to data.
It's common in Dumfries and Galloway, Cumbria..Where my Grandad is from. There's a few of us. :)

I have two, an Italian and a British. The Italian is not common, but can be found in São Paulo and in other states that received Italian immigration. My British surname is rare here, and it seems to be not so common even in Britain, even though it is a very Anglo-Saxon surname.
