Not distributism. That is something completely different and comes forth out of Catholic theology and Papal bulls like Rerum Novarum. It has nothing to do with godless Marxism.

Just as there are different strands of the Right - ranging from moderate conservatism to fascism to free-market libertarianism - so there are different strands of the Left, and many have an almost comical hatred of each other.
So what was your decidedly anti-Communist dictator Salazar thinking when he carried out an unprecedented building programme of schools and hospitals, drastically reducing illiteracy and poor health in the process? Btw, should we also privatise the army and police?Quote:
Those have been corrupted and used as "Trojan Horses" of the communist strategy, make the citizens increasingly dependent of the statized economy/nanny state and devaluate work/private initiative by taxing them to death. Then you have the so desired effect, a large portion of the (state dependent) population will revolt against measures to make them contribute also. See how you perpetuate the "class struggle" narrative ?
The only difference between social democrats and communism is, essentially, in how to overthrow the state, the culture and the population as a whole. Group 1 seeks to undermine it slowly and hollow it out from the inside and then seize power using legal means. Group 2 seeks to overthrow the established order with force. They both use subversion for their goals: one where the populated is subverted until they are ready for a bloodless coup, and the other to weaken the enemy for a bloody coup by means of using the working class as mere muscle but make no mistake: they are both exactly the same.
Btw, Sebastianus Rex himself has drifted noticeably rightwards since coming back to the forum. Look at what he voted for and wrote here: https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...=1#post5654214
And before people think I am some sort of Stalinist/Maoist, here is what I wrote in the same thread: https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...=1#post5654125
They just use the path of subversion rather than revolution. The old establishment was terrified of a revolution so they were armed to the teeth and the army was ready and waiting - but they looked away from the social democrats who they perceived to be as an "enemy" of Marxism and thus a "parliamentary ally" - not understanding that the fall-out between the two was mere window-dressing and that the social democrats were ready to stab the knife into society's back.
