Yes they appear as Lancers for the Austrians and Prussians I think in total war. I know in Napoleon total war they do not too sure if they do in Empire total war. I love playing as Prussia, France and the British. France in both games has the best military and you can easily steam roll every nation. In Napoleon total war it sucks fighting the French as they have a military of over 2 million and can easily take over many regions very quickly. I wonder if Napoleon had Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats in his armies? It is known he had foreign regiments, even Irish regiments fighting in Poland and against the Prussians. Many were hanged by British authorities when they returned to Ireland.
Napoleon did have Croatian regiments in his army, few freelance Bosniak merces here and there but nothing much to brag about. But he was surprised by Croatian effectiveness:
