They have Levantine admixture and similar haplogroups. Anyhow, my point is that Georgia has far less of this.

Yes but they are relatively few in number compared to the Azeri community in Southeast and the Armenian community in South. Also the Russians there identify mostly as Russians. But I have seen real Georgians with Blondish-red hair. As example

Georgians are slightly lighter because they live in higher latitude/cloudier climate. There is no genetic secret behind this. We know from ancient DNA that none of the ancient components was exclusively linked to all the light features. H&G had light eyes, the first farmers light skin but later when the diat changed the people started to drink more milk (lack of Vitamin D occurs) people started to become lighter. And the first individual who actually had this combination of light hair, eyes and skin was a farmer from late Neolithic Hungary. And the reason why Northern Europeans are lighter is because 1. they have all the necessary light skin alleles from farmers, (20% of farmer ancestry is already enough to gain these few SNPs responsible for light features) and 2. They were mostly farming/herding communities 3. They live in higher lattitude.
Btw in ancient times, Georgians (Colchians and Iberians) called Greeks ბერძენი berdzeni. This form derives from the Georgian word ბრძენი brdzeni – wise. According to Georgian historians, the name is connected with the notion that philosophy was born in Greece. Modern Georgians still call Greeks ბერძენი berdzeni and Greece საბერძნეთი saberdznet'i, 'Greeks' land' or literally 'land of the wise'.

The name Georgian derives from the Persian word for Wolf. "Gorg" which means Wolfs. In Persian, Turkish and Arabic they say to Georgia "Gurgistan" which means basically "land of wolfs". The name comes from the fact that Georgians weared wolf fur on their head/back which gave the impression of a "Wolfman". The same thing was done by the Vikings, and many Iranic tribes. The Turks adopted it and also started to use it very early.
