I think their Mizrahi Jew reference is based solely on Iraqi Jews.
other than that...a mixture of Caucasus and Levant. Sounds reasonable.

Peculiar and not very reasonable.
My grandmother is a carries (Heterozygous) and has other snps against HIV. I have no idea about my self (when I take 23andme I’ll know).
When it comes to medical genetics I have the win-win...
Near east. Arabia?
The Moroccan part was confusing. I thought it meant Berber Moroccans. I know to read Phylogenetic trees.
Interesting. If I am reading it right some clades are Near Easterns and some are Italian. I am not sure what is more likely considering we have mix of both.
I guess we’ll never know for sure
Both Judean and Berber are probably around 35-40%. I don’t know which one is what. Once I take 23andme I’ll know better.
About HV1C. Please provide further details. I’d like it to he Judean but...
On geneplaza I am 4.5% West African. I trust 23andme the most when it comes to NA blood. I’ll probably take 23andme on Christmas.
They severely underestimate North African blood, which is probably my biggest/second largest component.
Yes!
My grandmother is 26.7% NA in 23andme but here less than 3%
I score 8% on LivingDNA but I won’t be surprised if on 23andme (and IRL) I’ll be around 40% North African.
Good news. New results are here. Very different from last year's version:

Here such color is definitely considered blond.
Nope I had Medium Brown hair.
My eldest brother had dirty blonde hair until he was 5 or so (until he entered first grade).
My other brother had medium-light brown hair.
My dad had lightest brown...
Doesn't work for (tried 4 different files) me but here is my grandmother's:

My old upload (from one year ago)-

I knew it!
Moroccan Jews sometimes have such pigmentation (maybe around 10-15% of people are this light or lighter, not more though) but his facial features are so off. Moroccan Jews tend to have...
Even if you give him type 3 skin, black hair and brown eyes (which is I guess the average of Moroccan Jews) he still would look very foreign to me.
He doesn't have our features, not at all....
He is very atypical. Facial features more atypical than his pigmentation. Looks more like Ashkenazi Jew in facial features.

"everyone would assume she's Ashkenazi" I agree with that, but in Israel most Moroccan people I know are first guessed as Ashkenazi.
I can count on one hand the amount of times I was guessed as...
My great-aunt married an Ashkenazi that his father (from Poland) was able to escape the holocaust because he pretended to be Roman Catholic (and he was very very tall, blond and with blue eyes, spoke...
They are not as atypical as you describe it. Belo doesn't pass as Sephardic. While I agree the Ashkenazim here can also pass as Europeans or atleast part European, they are not as atypical as you...
First one yes but the nose is extremely atypical. There are some head heads in the Atlas but they never have such nose.
Second one looks European to me, but again the nose is extremely atypical.
If you are saying Litorid because of noses just know that #3, #5, #7 have small upturned noses.
Lets go with Ashkenazi Jews as an example.
Modern theory say that they are about 50% Middle eastern, 20% Central European and 30% Southern European.
You get something that plots with Sicilians...
