That's not confirmation. That's personal observation. It may be accurate but people tend to see what they want to see.

Personal observations on things like this are notoriously flawed.

on average, according to actual scientific data( not self reported), Montenegrins are 2nd tallest people in Europe and world just behind Dutch people.
there are of course regional differences. coastal Montenegrins are shorter than people from Northern Montenegro. that is why our army and special police units is mostly made of Northerners.
but anyway I don't want to enter in another dick measuring contest.

I'm 1m83 (that would be 6" I think) and I'm not really considered tall or anything here. I'm yet to feel small among Germans, Anglos and whatnot.
The Dutch are just freaks.

No it's not a confirmation... But personal observation is better then a self confirm a country makes about themselves.. I've been to Montengro more than 5 times and I don't remember seeing a lot of tall people there.. Living in London I've never met a Baltic person who was shorter then someone who was Slavic and short.

I'm very sorry but I saw more taller people in Montenegro around the boarder of Albania, and the Northern part of Montenegro, then the more inlands of Montengro.. Except that when you enter Albanja especially around Kukes people are short there.. Albanians in here are going to be angry with me for saying this...

People form the Balkans are suppose to be tall due to Dinarization. This according to reports from Anthropologists. I have obviously never been to Eastern Europe. I will say this though, in the NBA most of the Eastern Euros play are centers and are lanky as fuck.

I would have said nutrition plays a huge role in determining the persons height, but that does not explain why the East Africans are soo tall either. (Much taller than middle easterners, and southern Euros for example)

Indeed this is true. In the African Continent there are tall races and short ones. Dunno, maybe the habitat determined what was the best evolutive startegy...

You realize personal observation is flawed, right? What you say may be true but it would have to be supported by tangible evidence collected by multiple sources. That SOME Yugoslavs, Montenegros, I believe, are exceptionally tall compared to other Europeans isn't something someone made up on the internet. However, I don't remember how old that information is or if it is backed by other info. Much has changed over time regarding height. Dutch were very short around the 16th century and are one of the tallest Europeans; obviously standard of living allows a group to meet or not their full potential in all things.

I trust my eyes more than some studies based on selfreported data.

Like I said, especially in the city I live in there are tons of Balkanites mainly from former Yugoslavia(minus Slovenia) and Albania.
