Btw longobad languages didn't totally disappeared...some linguists consider the almost dead cimbric language of Veneto and Trentino, despite being bavarina, to be heavy longobard influenced.

I think the age of written documents is the main source of this. Here is a list.

    That's interesting.

English langaueg retains some word that in italian are disappeared...for example to discover (from latin disco, ''scoprire, imparare'' in italian), abduction (from latin abducere, ''rapire'' in italian), etc.

Atheism is the result of free thinking and rational conclusion. Religion is the poor try of cavemans to explain things they weren't able to understand. Later on some smart guys used it to control the dumb and mentally weak. I won't start arguing with you ,because i learned that religious people will never change their mind since they are indoctrinated and mentally not able to scrutinize it. For your information, i was raised christian and attended a christian school, but at some point intelligent people will notice that religion is simply a big lie, and people only believe it because they are 1.indoctrinated & brainwashed since their childhood 2. seek hope & explanation 3. need something to believe in ,because they are too weak to believe in themselves. As long as religion exists in this world there will be no evolution of mankind. Luckily people start to realize it and Atheism is steadily growing and is at 1.1 Billion members at the moment. I would say non existant influence is something different.

The Cimbrian Germans were not settlers between the 11-13th century from Bavaria? This is the most probable information about them.
