    Default 'Swarthy' European vs. MENA

What features make it so that the swarthiest, most exotic Sicilian or Andalusian, is still identifiably distinct from a lighter North African or West Asian? In other words, where's the line drawn?

It's not always possible, but often is. I.e. a swarthy Sicilian will have West Asian-ish features but still look recognizably southern Italian.

I'd say the line is harder to draw when you have a West Asian or North African who lacks anything that makes it impossible for them to be European. This Lebanese man is an example of this.. if you put him in Palermo he would not stand out.

With North Africans the line is much easier to draw, I think.. and it's often difficult to draw the line between Turks and Balkan groups since many Turks are descended from Albanians, Greeks, Bosnians etc.

Well at least euros arent fighting using boms on eachother like the MENA's, which does indeed make Euros superior.

I think its usually the eyes. MENA people often have these dark set eyes. Its hard for me to explain but you know it when you see it.

Many can pass in both directions but when they differ it is often due to both the eyes and mouth.

i.e. exotic Sicilian girls, who IMO could still pass in the Levant but they don't look yet outside of the range of what can pass in Europe.

vs Najwa Karam (Lebanese) -- there is something in her that is distinct from anything you find in Europe even amongst those who pass as MENA. If you told me she was from Sicily or Greece I'd think either she was a very rare outlier, or she was mixed with something else.

There is simply no line or distinction. MENA phenotypes are present in every Southern European country, but no way they are the majority. Southern European Meds (with high forehead and eyes further apart) actually differ from MENA Meds (with low forehead and droopy eyes closer together). The thing is lots of people associate textbook Med looks with MENA people. Not saying it is right or wrong, but excessively Med faces can give off that vibe.

Agreed. They have a stronger brow ridge and noticeably dark circles underneath the pupils. Simply being dark-featured isn't enough to pass as MENA.
