Tom Cullen: Good example of Atlanto-Med?

Tom Cullen (born 17 July 1985) is a Welsh stage and screen actor.

I think he's a good example of a (Paleo)Atlanto-Med looking Brit, a phenotype not found in such a "pure" form in other North European countries as it was obviously driven westward by Indo-European invasions.

Thanks, I struggled to classify him. I saw him in Downton Abbey and wondered if he was Jewish. He's a good example of the dark "Black Irish" type look found in the British Isles I think.

Indeed. An ancient type, pushed westward by Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, and Viking invasions. Found only in western Britain, and parts of Ireland today, but even there, Indo-European types dominate.

Atlanto-Med / Cromagnoid intermediate. I think that before invasions of Germanics or Celtics Britain was dominated by people who looked closer to Iberians but less gracile (I think). Welsh people may be the closest to it as they retained more from this substratum.

The Roman national type was basically Dinarid/Norid with Cromagnid, and Atlantid /Atlanto-Mediterranid admixture, so I don't think so.
